health and safety at wellbe

As more information becomes available from public health officials, we will continue to re-adjust our protocols for health and safety and will keep our patients and community informed as we receive communications.

LEARN MORE ABOUT WHAT WE’RE DOING

before your visit

Patient Pre-Screen

It’s important that we know a little about how you’ve been feeling. A COVID19 prescreening questionnaire will be sent to you prior to your appointment. You will receive the pre-screen questionnaire in your inbox approximately 24 hours prior to your vist.

Practitioner Pre-Screen

We’re all in it together—which means our team will also be checking in to ensure they are also not at risk of spread with a detailed health screen.

The Essentials

We’ve had to restrict use of our coat hooks and chairs, so please only bring the necessities to your appointment—you’ve always wanted to get rid of that bulky bag anyway.

Personal Protection

Although we can’t wait to see your face, we’ll settle for your “smize”. Our patients and practitioners are required to wear masks while in clinic. If you don’t have a mask, let us know and we can provide one for you.

Arrive on time

We love punctuality! To keep contact and overcrowding at a minimum, we ask that you arrive on time. Or consider enjoying the sunny weather by waiting outside until your appointment time.

Physical Distancing

To ensure our patient and our team’s safety, we’ve installed plexiglass shields to our front desk. We’ve also created easy to follow markers as a guide of where to stand. While maintaining a physical distance, know that we’re sending big “virtual” hugs your way!

Restricted Use of Washroom

In an effort to minimize exposure and contact we’re limiting the use of our washroom except in case of emergencies.

Sanitization Stations

Hand sanitizer is available at the front desk for sanitization of your hands prior to and after your visit. Hand sanitizer is also available in each room and throughout the clinic.

Contactless Payment and Rebooking

At this time, we are encouraging our patients to keep an active credit card on file at all times to minimize contact. We will re-book your next appointment before you leave. All invoices will be emailed to your inbox!

Time to Sanitize

After your session, our practitioners will clean all tables and equipment used including chairs, pillows and door handles.

BEHIND THE SCENES

Additional Measures and Precautions

  • We’re taking time to clean treatment tables, diagnostic and rehabilitation equipment and all surfaces thoroughly with approved sanitizing and disinfectant solutions

  • Frequent hand washing and appropriate PPE is in place for all of our practitioners

  • We’ve heightened our comprehensive cleaning before the clinic opens and at the end of the day and added professional cleaning services

  • Pillows, blankets and gowns will not be used unless absolutely needed. Please wear comfortable clothing or bring shorts to change into for your treatment if needed.

  • Our practitioners will be wearing designated clinic clothing strictly for in-clinic treatment only.

  • Continue to observe physical distancing when at the clinic keeping 2 m from patients, clinic staff and practitioners.

REGISTERED MASSAGE THERAPY (RMT) FAQ

Yes. Along with other regulated health practitioners, RMTs have been given the “green light” to resume their practices. They have been asked to prioritize treating clients with more serious needs first. All clients can be treated at this time, however, RMTs must always use their professional judgement to ensure the anticipated benefit of treatment outweighs the risk (including the risk of COVID-19).

Please wear a mask to the clinic to help protect yourself and others. If you cannot wear a mask during the treatment (e.g. due to a health condition or difficulty breathing), our RMT will use their professional judgement to assess the risk of providing or continuing treatment.

Before returning to practice, RMTs must complete additional health and safety training before returning to practice. This training will help RMTs improve their knowledge about infection prevention and control. Your RMT will be wearing a mask, taking extra cleaning precautions before and after your appointment, spacing out client visits to reduce contact with other patients, and doing a health screening with each patient before they enter the clinic.
